Heya! I'm Kaylauna:) Welcome to my artist website!
I am a 23-year-old singer/songwriter and musician from Alaska.
I write and record my own songs, as well as perform covers for events, concerts, and weddings. I have been pursuing music for almost a decade now and have performed for various events and venues; usually singing while playing either the piano or guitar for accompaniment.

For a typical gig, I usually cover older songs; classic country (George Strait is a favorite of mine), Dean Martin, Jimmy Ruffin, and others. I enjoy covering classics that others can sing along with if they wish. I am always adding new songs to my playlist of go-to's.

A wedding booking typically looks like a love song covered on the piano with vocals, or even a guitar instrumental, at the wedding ceremony.

To those I haven't met yet, I'm Kaylauna.
For some background, I have been seriously pursuing music for about a decade. My music career started out in a closet where I would write songs, sing, and play guitar or piano. After an invitation to sing on the worship team at church, I began to sing for the public.
My first worship team experience was "Our God" with a good friend on a stage with two mics and a couple guitars. The YouTube video still floats around to this day, I believe. Good luck finding that one. I still cringe to this day, but we all have to start somewhere!
As time went on, I joined the worship team more often, as well as joining the Sunday team. It was a great time to grow, learn, and spend time with others worshipping God and learning to mesh with a band.
I was invited to sing for several weddings over the years, covering love songs at wedding ceremonies. I covered a guitar instrumental for an outdoor wedding at some point, as well.
Near the end of my high school career, I wrote, recorded, produced, and released a little EP album called "Twenty Seventeen". It was a fun challenge for someone with no music producing experience. This last February, I ended my unintended artist silence and came out with "Trust You Still," a single with three originals, recorded and produced in a little bedroom in rural Alaska.
My more recent singing events include a special guest gig in a park in my hometown. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing some of my favorite covers with my friends, family, and community! Recently, I have also co-performed a couple gigs on a cruise ship in Ketchikan with a fellow musician and artist, taking turns covering songs for tourists from around the world.
I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow as a songwriter, artist, and performer. I am excited to see what comes next!
